You can always check the Eduard.cz site for the associated profi kit, as they keep instructions in pdf format.  Might not give all the precise colours and decal placements, but should of been some help?

I totally understand your concerns.  As your first biplane there can be a couple of Hiccups. I have some text that I can post if you like?

Stephen;

Thank you very much, but I just finished it up the best I could and treated it as a learning project.  She won't see the light of the display shelf, but the lessons learned with help me when I try the next biplane.

Eduard Weekend Kit

I stepped back from a big build I am working on to get a breath of fresh air and got a weekend edition from Eduard.  It was an older Albatros DIII kit in 1/48.  Price was excellent and I wanted to start a biplane build which I have never done before.

I have always enjoyed and appreciated what Eduard has done, but this kit had me very disappointed on a couple of fronts:

1.  There were NO color callouts on the instructions for the overall "camo" scheme.  There were just numbers for the engine and cockpit.  I was reading some reviews and one person said that looking at the box art should be sufficient...  The box listed one more color than I could find numbers for in the instructions.  The box didn't really show the top of the lower wings to see about the pattern of the colors.  The top of the elavator "switched" the order from the top of the upper wing, so I wasn't sure.

2.  There were NO callouts for the decals.  Again, check the box art.  The box art showed some struts with some very small lettering, but the decal sheet had more of them than were shown on the box...  The decal sheet was printed with the words weekend edition, so they clearly went to some effort to separate them from the "full" kit.

I went to Eduard's website and downloaded the Profipack DIII instructions and that helped a lot, but the color schemes are different.  Now, for $20 I guess I shouldn't complain, but is it too much to ask to have complete painting and decaling instructions??  Perhaps I am too concerned since this was my first biplane?
