Actually often get better results with an image search that web search, cuts down on background.

In image search, if you click on tools you'll get a size filter. Default is "any", but if you are looking for something to post or print large, you can go by range which sorts out the stuff that isn't usable.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

From what I have read the 51 was stock, which means it has zince chromate wells and interior.

If by stock you mean from the factory - then NO P-51 left the factory with zinc chromate gear bays or interiors.   The gear bays would be bare aluminum with a yellow chromate spar, or painted aluminum lacquer.  The interior would be interior green with a black floor and panels.

I am not sure it was the same P-51 doing airshows the whole time it was being flown by Bob Hoover. I saw it several times and never thoughjt to compare the N number. Anyways, I do remember seeing the inside of the main gear wells and one time it was painted silver (aluminium) and another time it was painted white. While Bob hoover was still doing air shows in the USA I took a bunch of Civil Air Patrol Cadets to an airshow and he came over to our recruiting booth and addressed the cadets. He offered to take the cadets up in the Aero Commander on the day after the airshow ended and nine cadets were able to do that. What a great guy and an awesome pilot. Enjoy the build. Bob Hoover passed away last year. Quoting Bob Hoover, " there are three things you need to get an airplane to do anything you want it to do, airspeed, airspeed, airspeed".

Don Stauffer

I just did a Google image search.  There were quite a number of great shots returned.

To do a google image search, go to google (I recommend you actually go to www.google.com, even if your browser is set to default to a google search).  When you are at the site, before you type in the search words, look in the upper right corner.  There are several options, including image.  Click that, then enter your search terms.  I used bob hoover P-51.

I wasn't aware of that. Great tip, thank you, Don.

And here I thought I knew my way around the Google search engine.....
