The thing is that I tested it on raw plastic and the bottom paint (same as top paint) without bad reaction, top was different. Not a crisis though, I think I can rescue it.

The Tamiya spray paints are lacquer and not always compatible with enamel or acrylic. I've had good results but several bad ones like you did. I stopped doing it a long time ago.

Interesting that the TS 13 out the can , applied not to heavy, ate the top grey on my A4 but not the bottom white...both humbrol enamels :-(

I have now decalted a bit of it into a little container and will leave it overnicht as I am curiuose to see what it does.

How well does this stuff air brush? Better results than straight from the spraycan?

This, decant into a jar and let it settle 1st, will have a lot of bubbles in it still.

I think you would be better off decanting into a jar first just to let it gas off. On the precautionary side, you can always pour from the jar into the AB cup rather vise versa

Tamiya TS 13 can question
Posted by Theuns on Monday, June 12, 2017 9:37 AM

I usually use Tamiya clear acrylic as my decal prep gloss coat. I cant find any so had to settle for TS 13 in the spray can.

It seems a waist to spray directly with this onto the model as there is allot of "expensive" overspray. If I want to use my AB, do I decant directly into the cup or into a small container first and let it flash off a bit first?

Does an AB with 0.3mm needle spray finer than directly out of the can?

I will be spraying over enamel paint

Thanx
