That turned out great! Unique color scheme. I especially like the checkerboard cowl. Great job.

Wow, now that turned out very nice. I have been very happy with my KH kits so far. I know some others have run into some fits issues here and there but overall I think they are top notch kits. You did a bang up job on this one for sure.

Mr. Grant Dalzell,

You did an exceptional job on a unique subject that most modelers would pass on.  I for one commend you for such a fantastic build.

Toshi

That's a great color scheme, Grant - very eye catching! I've always been tempted to build something in Kiwi colors and had never really considered a T-6. Nice build!

I have been building this one on and off for months now, not the easiest of kits for sure, with some poor fitting parts plus a few mistakes of my own doing. My biggest disappointment is that I failed to realize red would show through the roundels, I soon realized when I put fuselage roundels on, but too late then, I did however spray some white backing for the wing roundels.

Decals are extremely thin with this kit, so be careful if you are going to use them. They are great setting though, you just need to be very careful putting them down. I painted the cowling, there are decals but  I think painted looks better and it isn't to hard to do on 1/32 scale

It is OOB except some HGW harnesses, I wasn't real impressed with them although they give a nicer detail.

Painted with Gunze, Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics, Vallejo Metal Color and Gunze Metalizer, AK enamel wash around engine, and Flory dark dirt wash.

Glad I kept at it and finished it off, pretty happy with it.

Note that Kitty Hawk colour call out says this is bare metal/silver and although there are some like this, I found that this scheme was Grey and Red
