Thanks so much, Pawel, for dropping by and giving your comments on Joh's works. He told me earlier that building SkyHigh's Ka-25 and Amodel's Ka-31 (not yet finished) was a hell of a job. Both are short-run kits with loose parts (no sprues) looking yellowish and dirty. Apart from fitting issues, their instructions were so vague and lousy that he had to guess many times how parts go together. The Ka-25 came out better than my expectation though with peculiar tail section. The Skyhawk looks cheap and toy-like, but all the others look OK to me.
Of all the artists who work for me (4 active and 2 passive), Joh ranks the last in terms of craftsmanship. The reason I still give him commissioned works is philanthropy. He's the only bread winner for a family of four. Lately he's been relying on income from me as the main source. For the latest batch commissioned yesterday I paid him 100% in advance plus another 150% for future batches so that he can pay to condo owner this month. I've told him many times that my stock is running out fast and that he can't rely on me for so long now. Until then please have some sympathy when seeing more works from him.
Have a nice time,
MM
