I dislike Academy decals. In addition to being super thick, offer the colors look wrong.

Also, micro products are not a given in applications. The sol is only for softening decals to lay down on irregular surfaces.

There was a thread in the decals forum maybe a month ago or so, on old decals not adhering well.  You could try doing a search for that thread.

I don't remember the whole thread, but several of us mentioned the use of thinned white glue as adhesive for old decals that do not adhere well.

Academy has certainly never been widely-known for the...ahem...quality of its decals, flexibility and adhesion-wise, though my understanding and limited experience with the brand more recently is that the situation had improved somewhat in more recent years. Posts of other folks' issues have led me to pre-test individual kit sheets with a less-visible or easily replaceable decal from the sheet to start, then use Solvaset/white glue/Future applications as necessary---or just go with aftermarket markings, if all else fails.

Genuinely sorry for the loss of your decals, and hope you are able to find replacements.

Is it an old kit? Some clear pictures, if you have any, may help to see whats going on. The Micro Sol and Set for my understanding don't have any ability to "glue" decals down. Maybe try some future under the decals, otherwise you may need to look at an AF set.

I have a Academy Harrier, fully painted, gloss coat dried and ready for decals. I use Micro Set and Sol but I was completely baffled when the decals seem to have no adhesive and the Micro Products were not helping. The decals would not bend at all and some just fell off and in the end I stopped, frustrated. The roundals were a loss and now I am looking after-market to save teh project.

Not my first rodeo--anybody have a smiliar problem?
