77th FS 20th FG 8AF Spring 1944 flown by Lt James Morris The canopy was ill fitting and my diabetties would not permit me to make the correct small framework on the side windows, please allow for that.

Chris,

Very nice job, well done. Apart from the Corsair, I have a soft spot for the P38.

I must build myself another, one day soon.

In Progress
1/48 Tamiya P47-D Bubbletop
1/48 Hobby Boss TBF-1C Avenger (on hold)
Pending
1/48 Roden S.E.5a
1/48 Airfix Walrus

Thanks guys.

I wanted to do an OD Lightning since you usually see these in silver, this bird was all the bombers had for protection over germany until the mustang showed up.

This particular pilot was a 7 kill ace, he was shot down and captured, but later flew in korea and vietanm.

That is a beautiful example of a P-38 lightning in OD.  Excellent!
