My 11 year old nephew started this but got so frustrated that he decided he would rather fly one on XBox. I picked it up to finish it as a quick filler before deciding what to build next. I fully understood his frustration as this particular kit was ill molded, ill formed and ill fitting. I haven't sanded and filled this much on allmy builds to date (exageration).Insult to injury, the decals silvered terribly on me. Model Master Helo Drab as base and then one quarter lightened and darkened here and there. No washes,no dry brush, just chalks brushed and rubbed.

Spent way too much time on this and just called an end to it,almost didn't post but it was an honest effort; and yes, still on PB, never had all the issues described in various posts and now that everyone is leaving, it works even better. We'll see how long that lasts.

Well, you may have had a rough road getting there, but the end result looks pretty good. Nice save for your nephew.

I must say, you did a fantastic job in recovering this build!  It looks great.

I'll be danged if you didn't make an outstanding model out of that kit! I can only wish for better pictures!

I think you certainly beat that kit into shape! I think it looks amazing for what you had to start with.

Thanks Toshi, did what I could with it without spending any more time on it, still I wouldn't put it next to any of your output.

Mr. Brindos, quite a compliment considering the source. I can only wish to take better pictures. I literally just fired up the 3 posted above but will try a few more and post later if they come out any better.

Apologies all around for being a dummy and not posting in the Helo topics,I wasn't even aware that there was one, never checked them out before. I will post there unless a mod can switch it over.
