You'll have to flattten it out some though. I don't remember seeing any trash haulers with a bright shinny fuselage. There were also different shades of metal. Aluminum was the primary color back then. SOme early Herks carried red markings on their aircraft as well as sometimes a grey inside the wing walk areas. It just epends which ship you want to do.
If you insits on alumin, why not try the metal foil system. Alclad has all sorts of shades for an airbrush if youi have one available.
