Bish Stik, Eduard instructions never have any painting guides.
Stik, Eduard instructions never have any painting guides.
I could swear that they did for the "zoom" set of my Sea Harrier. Ah well, that just shows how much Eduard PE stuff that I use... aside from some pre painted seat belt sets, not a whole lot... although I do have a few with certain kits in my stash.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Yep, as Stik says, same as the rest of the cockpit, RLM 02 or 66.

You're quite welcome. I'm surprised that the directions do not have the painting colors listed.
Thanks for the help stik.
Ok, those look like they are part of the aircraft interior. In that case I'd go with RLM-66 Gray.
I got the Eduard photo etch set to go with this build. The Eduard set has you fold up some square shaped ammo boxes that go to the left and right of the radio operators position in the cockpit. These are not like the duel cylinder canisters I have seen in reference pics for the guns.
Here are snippets from the Eduard instruction sheet:

Where they go in the cockpit
In all the reference pics I have, they show the typical duel drums being stored in these spots in the cockpit. I have not found any pics showing anything like these. I would think these would be the same grey but wanted to make sure these were not some type of field ammo box that would be a green color.
Are you referring to the ammo drums for the defensive machine guns? The color should be standard as for across the rest of the Luftwaffe, depending upon the time period. Dark Gray RAL 7021 or Field Gray RAL 6006 are good options.
I am building a Junkers Ju88 and did not know if the ammo boxes stored in the cockpit were the same grey that the cockpit is or a different color. Can't seem to find any reference pics online that would show the color of the ammo boxes.
If anyone has pics or can confirm the color, the help is appreciated.
