Just watched your video test and have 2 things you should know.

#1: Your prop is out of balance. Eventually it's going to either fly off the shaft or worse shake your plane to pieces.

#2: It would well be worth it to install a flywheel. No jerking when starting and more realistic coasting to a stop.

I'm not trying to nitpic. You did such an awsome job I just cannot bear the thought of a piece of art vibrating itself to death.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

The Walrus is turning out great, FTF. I wish I would have prepainted...first biblane I ever did. Lesson learned. I don't see the struts that are near the engine. Don't make the mistake of forgetting to put them on...like me! It'll ruin your day. Are you going with wheels up? Oh, watch the decals if they were anything like mine....Can't wait to see it finished!

cheers mate the struts are there mate because white background you cant see them , this is my second made that mistake with paint before we all do it mate ,  wheels up if my base works out never done water base before so may end up wheels down if it dont work out lol going to re seal the decals as there to old to risk it lol , mate if it turns out half as good as yours i will be happy :)

Didn't realise that about the enamels. I have used the metal colours a few times now and have switched completly to their primers and clear coats.

Ye, i have preffered enamels for a long time. Though there are some new lacquer based acrylics that are meant to be nice, i have some Mr paint i am going to try on my 32nd Stuka. Never hurts to try somthing new, i think i will get a couple of those Aclad ones myself next time i get some Aluminium from them.

Are you saying they are a lacquer based enamel.

Thanks Fred. Interesting they have gone for an enamel paint when everyone else seems to be bringing out new Acrylics. Nice top see a range of pre thinned enamels.

i tried Acrylics i dont think you get the same type finish as enamels , and alclad is lacquer based so drys in about 15 mins so to me its win win :)

ran the power wires for the motor and hid them , going to use them as rigging to the engine so you dont notice them , joined the 2 halfs together , primed the wings bored now till the motor comes

This is great! Real model building--no shake & bake on this one!  I've had this kit out on the bench at least 4 times in the last couple of years but just cannot pull the trigger yet.

Noble task you have. Good luck with it I'll be watching!

thanks mate :)
