WTG Ernie. It looks even better in person I must say.
I'll get my pics up as soon as I have the time to figure out Flicker

Thought I post that my NMF 262 won Bronze in the Vignette class at the Modelpalooza Show in Orlando today.
Thanks Toshi my friend!
I'm glad you pulled through the storm. You were Definately blessed. As for your Me 262 and it's diorama, that's one of the most amazing builds I've seen in a while. Fantastic job sir!

Seasick. My heart goes out to all the folks impacted by Harvey.
We were very lucky to have the eye within 30 miles on the dirty side and suffer no damage to my house. My family and myself feel blessed. We lost power on Sunday and got it back today. The heat and darkness were a minor inconvenience compared to other cases.
I pray that you and your family will recover. All the best.
Plastic Junkie, here in Houston the water gone down. In the drying out process. Lost the carpet on the first floor and the food in the fridge. The water came up to the house but didn't enter.
I gave a model fighter to a neighbors kid who liked it.
Chasing the ultimate build.
Thanks guys. Thank God we made it thru with no damage. We have no power and living off a generator. It was very rough and scary there for a while . Just a small inconvenience compared to the victims in Texas.
Great job, love the dio. Stay safe there in FL
PJ great work mate, she came up a treat, well done. I havent been round much lately, lacking motivation.
I hope you don't get badly effected by the impending storm.
All the very best.
Damian
For sure Ernie, I've been boarding up and lashing down and getting ready to get outta here. I hope I have time to finish my Houston cruiser before Modelpaloosa.
Thanks fellas. Haven't been too active ref this pending hurricane. Can't seem to get in the modeling mood.
If you Google NMF Me262 you will see lots of period pictures.
I just caught this PJ, wow.
"le plaisir delicieux et toujours nouveau d'une occupation inutile"
That's a fine job. Tackling that seem dope is quite unique. And 1/48 figures look great.
It all looks great. I would like to find more info on all metal Finnish on late war German aircraft.
I can see how it came about but I haven't came across it before.
Bish..plastic. thanks never thought to use my airbrush for dust control.
Thank you both.
Thanks Mike. Give me a shout if you need help with your figures.
I concur with the opinions that this is a really special dio. I am going to attempt some figures soon and will be referencing this thread for my own edification.
Great job PJ!!

Mark and Toshi, thank you both for your very nice comments.
I love how each segment of the build pulls everything together. Absolutely fantastic sir!
When I first saw the plane I thought, "Wow!" Then when I saw the base you built I thought, "Wow!" Then when I saw the figures I thought, "Wow!" And when I saw it all together I thought, "Holy Cow!!" Well done sir.
Cheers, Mark

route62 Way to take an older kit and bring it together like this. Curious, one of the jet engines the front portion is NMF while the other engine is painted front to back. What is the reason you did it this way?

As a replacement panel and engines taken from another aircraft. This was a routine practice by the Germans at the end of the war to use whatever was available to rush the plane into service. You can also see this with late 109s and 190s where they have multiple colored undersides in combination with NMF panels.
Notice the RLM76 color on the rudder of the 262, another replacement part thrown in the mix.
Thanks fellas for the nice compliments. These old Monogram kits are very nice and have some great looking figures included.
