Hello, new to these forums...
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, March 26, 2004 2:28 PM
Got back into making models about a year ago, when I moved to the north and found i was REALLY bored... fills the time well ;-)
I just put up a pretty basic site with some mosquito photos, let me know if they're too small or anything.

Also, I'm wondering if there is a kit of a Voodoo out there, besides the monogram one? Which doesn't even seem to be available anyways... I've been unable to find one at all and I love this plane.
Also, I have photos of a Canadian F-86, as well as lots of old bush planes (ie Noordyun Norseman), if anyone is interested, I'll put those up too.

Monogram makes the only Voodoo I know of, but that doesen't mean their arent any more. Try looking in 1/72 scale. Someone out there might have one. In any case welcome aboard the forum. Great to have you hear.

First of all, Sign - Welcome [#welcome] The only Voodoo's in 1/72 that I know of are the RF-101 from Hasegawa (older kit, and very basic) and the Revell Germany F-101b (very nice kit, not very easy to construct.)

Me again, added more photos. I'll put up some working float planes once the spring thaw comes on and they start flying off the river again... should be sometime around August!

As for your question:
"Monogram makes the only Voodoo "
Sign - Ditto [#ditto]
As far as I know, this is the only one in 1/48 scale. Not really familiar with other scales, but I don't recall ever seeing one in 1/72. I'm sure someone here has some information about this...

Welcome, I too am a Voodoo fan, and have built several of the old Monogram kits. If your ever in Great Falls and at Malmstrom, one of them is in the museum there. Sorry, thats about it. I just got a Revellogram one a couple of weeks ago and the molds really are getting poor.

Your job sounds interesting.

Maybe Trumpeter will issue a 1/32 scale version of the F101B. Just dreaming. I currently have 3 built and 2 unbuilt 1/48 F101Bs that are destined for future projects. Good luck in finding one. I have an additional 21 built 1/72 F101s (various versions) and one very lonely unbuilt 1/72 Revell F101B. I was lucky to pick up a Matchbox 1/72 just before Christmas from a local store. Keep looking, they are out there.

Hasegawa used to make a Voodoo in 1/72nd scale I don't know if its still available. Its only 48 pieces so I guess its pretty basic. In my catalogue its number Ct15, but that catalogue is a couple of years old.

Welcom aboard Matt. There are several Monogram F-101Bs' on ebay at this time of various release. I have bid on one of them even though its not in my prefered scal of 1/72. Theres just something about those long sleek lines that are attractive.
