Thanks for the tips. The Camel I am building is B6299. Seems to be the only one not listed on wingnuts lol. Why would a manufacturer not put a paint chart?

Download the pdf instructions for this plane at the wingnut wings website. It will give you all the paint instructions that you could want. Chris

Well, that's like asking what color is a Fokker Tri wing. Depends on what markings you have so Mark has given you an excellent suggestion of searching for images. There aere several reviews on you tube and they list the color question too. The usual color for the undersides would be a doped linnen (light/pale  tanish) and the green was a called PC10 which ranged in shade from med  to dark green.

There are tons of info on the web as Marks suggested. Here's a quick search:

Hope this helps you.

I'm not familiar with the kit, but did it come with a set of decals?  You might be able to find the color scheme for the plane by doing an image search for Sopwith Camel color schemes, and hopefuly find an image that has markings that match the decals in your kit.

Of course, you'd still have to research what the colors are and how to replicate them with whatever paints you are using.  Sorry, that's all I can think of.

Cheers, Mark

Academy Sopwith Camel help

I recently bought an Academy 1:72 Sopwith Camel.  The instructions offer no color / paint instructions.  Does anyone know the color scheme for this plane?
