1/48 Kinetic IAI M5 Dagger FAA C-418 - Grupo Aero 6 de Caza San Julian Air Base 1982 (Malvinas/Falklands War)
Kinetic's Mirages' are not the easiest of kits to build, this one is no exception, (poor fitting front canopy/windscreen was my biggest issue on this one), having built a Kinetic Mirage before, I knew where the problems would lie, and glued this one together small areas at a time to get the best fits I could. Still there were some poor fits, but I got something fairly decent in the end.
Not my best work, and I painted the nose black to far back (I only realized at the end after all the weathering), other than that I can live with it.
Camo is a mix of Gunze acrylic and MIG Argentian colour set (I just could not get these to spray no matter how I tried which is a shame as MIG and AK make custom sets for the job, but they just don't work for me). Flory dark dirt wash and some AK landing gear enamel wash did the weathering, with a coat of Mig satin Varnish.
