PBY wing markings question.
Posted by Wilbur Wright on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 7:16 PM

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what the little white V symbols are on the top wing of a PBY Catalina?

I'm nearly done with my Revell 1/48 version and I can't find what these are.

If you Google Revell PBY Catalina modeling madness, then go to images you can see an example in one of the photos.

Thanks

It might help if you were to actually post or link the photo yourself instead of asking the forum members to look for the image themselves.

They are fabric areas that have zippers in them to allow access for inspection of the interior of the wing.
