Pros of this kit - Nice detail, detailed engines, big fret of PE

Cons - Intakes were not the best and required filling and sanding
- Engine covers were a shocking fit and had big gaps that needed plasticard to fill
- Engines are greatly detailed, but unless you are displaying them it is a waste
- Decals are shocking, very thick, micro sol...no good, Daco strong setting solution...no good, Mr. Mark softer....no good, Tamiya X-20A thinners...eventually set.

- Main landing gear is a nightmare and was never going to fit without cutting out a piece of the gear well, which than needed super glue to hold it back again.

Some of the problems perhaps were of my own doing, but really disappointed with this kit, but I have not built any other brands of Mig-29's so maybe this is as good as you get?

Anyway, main camo is Akan Mig-29 set, but I think one of the colours is not dark enough. Other paints used, the usual suspects, Tamiya, Vallejo and Gunze acrylics, Vallejo metal colors, AK Xtreme metals. Flory dark dirt wash and MIG satin varnish.

A shame I did not enjoy this one, I love this version of the Mig-29 with it's big humped back.

Grant - Great job, now you have a "silk purse," and somewhere there is a pig missing an ear. Too bad that some manufacturer's are unable to ensure kit quality, prior to placing them out on the market for customers to make needed corrections.

Thanks for the post and photos, nicely done model.
