Hey, I really screwed up. My local shop had a few of these on the shelf (monogram pro-series 1/72 scale SA-16B Albatross). I figured I would check on line to see what the difference in price would be and viola'...I found out it's no longer in production. No problem, I headed back to the local shop and they were ALL gone!!! Sad [:(]

My question is am I out of luck or do any of you know where I can still find this kit???

I really appreciate the help.

You can still find them in some of the stores. On the web, try www.greatmodels.com or www.squadron.com.
You can also put a request out in the forums on other sites such as www.aircraftresourcemodeler.com www.modelingmadness.com or www.hyperscale.com
When all else fails, this kit shows up on e-bay quite a bit.

No luck at Great Models or Squadron. Looks like I'm gonna have to try the E-Bay thing, even though I've never done it before.

Just passed up on one at MosquitoCon that was 12.00 or so.
Just counted 8 on e-bay. Go to Home > All Categories > Toys & Hobbies > Models, Kits
and search for albatross. Good luck!!

Sit back and waite 6 mos. to a year and Monogram will Re-rerelease it. They re-release that kit frequently, and have since the 60s when it first came out. It is a decent kit of a great old bird. You can have a real one for about $250,000 refurbished.

I would love to see it released as a 1/48th scale kit. done in todays standards. The rivets on the old Monogram kit would be the size of your fist in real life! rangerj

but I think I'm going to try the E-Bay thing..Looks like a cheaper deal. BTW, I was born in Eindhoven (like my mom) and still have family there.
