Advice/Help B-58 Hustler resin engine upgrades
Posted by JohnnyK on Friday, October 6, 2017 11:35 AM

I recently purchesed the intake and burner resin upgrades from Fisher Models. These are really great looking castings, but there are no instructions included??? I  e-mailed Fisher earlier this week regarding instructions, but I have not heard back from them. Has anyone included these upgrades in their 1/48 Hustler?  It is not clear where the castings need to be trimmed. It also appears that the nose section of the Monogram kit's engine nacelles need to be removed in order to install the Fisher intake. I would rather not start cutting up things unless I know what I am doing.

I'll bet that you hear from them soon.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Sorry I can't help you but where did you find the 1/48 hustler? I didn't even know that Monogram made one.

I bought the kit on ebay. The instructions are copyrighted 1985. The model is molded in a funny silver color. I think that the intention was that the model would not need to be painted. However, the silver color has odd swirls in it. It is a really nice kit. There is NO flash that needs to be removed. Very clean. Nicely detailed landing gear. And yes, it is a big model. If you have followed any of my postings on previous kits, I will be finishing this bird in Bare Metal Foil.
