I just read that Hobbyzone is expecting one final shipment from Attack Squadron withing the next few weeks.  They are expecting the parts that you are looking for.  May be worth a look to see if you can perhaps pre-order them.

I also understand that the Attack Squadron molds are currently up for sale.  So these parts may indeed be available again.

Regardless of how you proceed, good luck with your build and post pics!

Well, thanks to both of you!  That makes me feel good.  I am going to build it right out of the box and be happy with it.  I really do apprecieate the advice!

I have judged model shows in the past.  We never judged on the accuracy of an entry.  It was not even an option on the scoring card.

I can't speak for all shows but for the ones I have entered and judged in, it was about the quality of the build and finish of the model.  We judged on things like visible seams, do all the wheels touch the ground, are the clear parts clean and free of blemishes, the quality of the paint work etc...

AC-130U Italeri 1/48 Question
Posted by Bigb123 on Monday, October 23, 2017 5:41 PM

Hello.  I have an AC-130U Italeri 1/48 kit that I want to build.  But, I know the kit engine nacelles are not correct.  However, I can't find a set of the Attack Squadron corrected nacelles anywhere I look and the Attack Squadron website says they are not making resin items anymore.  Would the kit nacelles look okay as-is?  Or is there an easy way to modify them to make them more correct?  If I went with as-is would this affect how my kit was judged at contests?  I mean to say, it would still look like a gunship to me if I left the engines alone.  Thank you for the help!
