Hey everyone;
So just to prove that I do work on models (J/K) here are pictures of the F-15 from Academy. It's ok, but it's meh as there are a few after market parts for it. The only major issue that I am having with it is that on the right wing, I don't know if when they built the mold they didn't make it the same as the left and there is about .75mm drop in the wing.

Ting Ting Ting, WTF is that....
Can you even it out by sanding the mating surfaces of the high wing on a flat surface?
Unfortunately, it's a bit late, but if you're talking about the lower wing panels, it would have been easier to shim it with a bit of strip styrene before gluing it in.
It looks like you're getting ready to fill the flap separation lines. Don't do it, they're supposed to be there.
Yep, but these are pretty deep, not with the rest of the model, and too late, they are already filled in....

Yeah that would probably make more sense.

Yep, before I glued it in it fit perfectly. THough when I pushed down to ensure that to get the glue to set it went bloop.
So more updates as it slowly comes along
I think Monday I might go through the rear part and just throw a little bit of paint on there.
Beautiful start. I’ll be following along.

Just FYI, black boxes aside, the walls and floor of the open rear bay behind the cockpit may be a metallic blue/green (early) or white (late/updated) depending on the time period.
Of course, if you build it with the canopy lowered, the only person who will know what colour is under there is you..
Thanks, I didn't know that. I didn't get a chance to see the cockpit when they came on the base. I might have to see if I can get some blue/green in there to paint it.

Thanks Toshi. :) I kinda made a mistake on the ejection seat. since is the first time I have worked with photo etch and the microsol glue, there is definetly a learning curve, but as one of my friends say putty and paint, make perfect what ain't.
So after kind of a delay mainly because of life issues and availabilty to an airbrush (long story) as well as basically other issues (Basically I done screwed up with the model and had to buy the model again) a new and updated version. This is my first attempt at pre-shading, I think the biggest problem I had was I was using MM grey enamel and it's a lighter gray.
