Built this from the old 1/72 scale Airfix kit.  I had to scratch build the entire cockpit.  wired and put in push rods on the engine and opened up the cooling flaps on the cowl.   And of course lost one of the two 20mm wing cannons so I had to turn two new ones from brass rod.  Very fun project kind of a silk purse from a sows ear build.

I also got a gold in our show last month.  Propeller

Man, that's nice, love the display base, too, excellent idea. I'd love to see pics of the cockpit, don't see too many scratched out nowadays.

That finish is superb. I love the detailing you added! Beautiful aircraft, and I think I built this one too when I was much younger.

It seems very familiar though I can't recall ever building any Airfix kits when I was a boy.

Splendid job on it in every way. My only complaint is that there are not enough pictures of it finished lol.

Very nice. I remember building that old Airfix kit a long, long, long...........time ago, and by todays standards it's a pretty poor kit. You've done a good job with it.
