Are the turnbuckles part of the kit?
Thank you Mike! The turnbuckles are tiny brass tubing that I cut. And some of them are white glue applied to the line. They make tiny brass turnbuckles but they look a little large to my eyes. Thats only my opinion though

scottrcChris, it must have been like modeling with eggshells. Scott
Eggshells are far too durable for there to be a comparision. Maybe soap bubbles
Don, there is a slight twist to the the tail that was there before rigging. I tried to get it out with selective tightening of the flying wires but it only worked a little. I decided to quit while I was ahead and still had a tail attached.

Wow, my hat is off to you for making such a fine model and I know what you had to stuggle with. I am at present finishing up a Roden 1/32 SE5 and think I will need thearapy after this build.
Don, I put a slight twist in the tail of the SE5 by applying too much tension, I could imagine the finesse needed to try the DH2. Chris, it must have been like modeling with eggshells.
Scott
A warning for anyone rigging a DH-2. The booms are so flimsy that the tail rigging is necessary and functional. If you don't get the tension right, the tail will end up all cockeyed!

beautifully done! that thing has more wire than wood and fabric.
That looks incredible. Beyond museum quality. Patience pays off! Could you imagine flying one of those in combat?? Holy cow

Nice build!

very nicely done cockpit and wings. Rigging looks good.

That is really a killer build, wood and fabric outstanding.

Unreal! Your technique in rigging is superb not to exclude the high quality of your build.

Your amazing realism is only surpassed by your patience on the rigging....WOW
I'm finally retired. Now time I got, money I don't.
Beautiful work. I love it. I want to build one too but afraid of the rigging

Here is my DH2 finally finished. I added the Eduard photoetch kit to the build. This might be my last WW1 model, the rigging on this model took FOREVER!
