When I got back into modeling, the first kit I picked up was the Tamiya D-9. Not the most accurate Dora out there, but a fun easy buid...
On the Bench: Too Much
That kit is a re-release of the old one, so it has the fit issues I mentioned. I've built 4 of them, I looked up the instructions and it's the same kit. The new tool 190s from Eduard are the A series.
AdeB The brand new Eduard kit is the way to go. It was released last week and eliminates all the fit issues with the old tool. 100% the best 190 kits out there along with the new A4 kit.

the new Eduard kit isn't a D-9 though...the Eduard kit is beautiful but tough to build. It is meant to have open gun doors and they don't fit well in the closed position. The firewall and botton of the cockpit floor are a tad too wide when it comes to closing the fuselage halves. If you can get past those hurdles, the rest of the build is ok.
Just my two cents... The Hobbyboss 190/152’s are great for the beginner to intermediate modeler. They have decent detail without much hassle to put together and they can be cheaper than their Eduard counterparts. But if you have intermediate or better skills, or patience for the small details, the Eduard kits are hands-down the absolute best in my opinion. The newest Revell D9 (03930) is an Eduard rebox without the photoetch so that would be a good one too! The Tamiya kit is probably the oldest of the bunch but is still ok. I‘d stick with Eduard or Revell. Good luck!

At the plate: 1/48 Airfix Bf109 & 1/35 Tamiya Famo
On deck: Who knows!
Detail wise, I think Eduard is the best hands down. Their 190’s can however be finicky building because of said detail.

Eduard hands down...
Alright, folks, I need your feedback. I'm wanting to purchase a 1/48 scale kit of a Focke-Wulf 190 D-9. I've found 4 kits in the price range I'm looking to pay: Hobby Boss (€15.50); Eduard "Profi-Pack" (€22.50); Tamiya (€23.95); and Revell of Germany (€26.95). Need your opinions on which you think is the best and why. Aaaand GO!
