I have the ROG 1/32 two seater and looks awesome in the box. The kit decals also look great.

I would recommend without hesitation both Trumpeter 1/32 Me 262 single and two seater kits.

Maybe more expensive than the revell offering but they are top notch examples of when trumpeter gets it right and not a half-A**** attempt.

I would also add Eduards sets to add more detail in the cockput and wheelwell area and to make it sit properly add weight inside the forward fuel tank and where the cannon ammunition would be stored.

To get authentic Luftwaffe chipset colours then Vallejo luftwaffe set should be used

Before anyone spouts off, this is the set I used on this:

Throughout the war, paint suppliers managed a +/- 3% deviance from chipset formulae. That isn't visible to the human eye!

I‘ve built the Trumpeter 1/32 Me262 visible.  Half of the 262 is clear styrene as well as the Jumo engine.  The Jumo engine is extremely detailed.  The only other Jumo engine I’ve built that was that detailed is the Zoukei Mura Flying Wing Aircraft.  The exterior and interior is highly detailed.

In the world of modeling or in general, you pay for what you get.  I can highly recomend the Trumpeter 262.  I give it five stars out of five.  It almost and I mean almost rivals a Zoukei Mura kit.  Another reason I can extremely recommend this kit is that the time I had in building it was really fun.  That makes it a go to kit in my humble opinion.  I did a WIP on this kit, check it out.

I wish you the best of luck in finding your happy 262 build.  Just have fun!

Your friend Toshi

P.S. Unlike the Revel kit, the Trumpeter kit comes with a swastika.  I feel it’s an important albeit outlawed (In certain countries) symbol decal.  It comes in two parts and the modeler must combine the two parts to create the swastika.

Thanks, the Trumpy kit is a bit pricey. The Revell kit may be the best option.

Your right there, it ain't cheap. If i was going for a 2 seater, i would opt for the Revell kit. If other kits are anything to go by, you will get somthing just as good at almost half the price.

I had an opportunity a couple months ago to sift through the contents of the newly tooled Revell Germany 1/32 Me 262 B-1 Nghtfighter (04995) at my LHS.  I must say I was quite impressed!  Fine details and very crisp molding without flash. Decals looked thin and in perfect register.  Like Bish said, I’ve only heard good things. If I was in the market, that’s the one I’d go with.

When I was in the market for a 32nd 262 a couple of years back I read all the reviews I could find and opted for the Trumpeter kit. Not built it yet but heard plenty of good comments. they also have a twin seater. But since then, Revell have released a new 2 seat kit which I have only heard good things about. I recon either of those would be the best options.
