Art Instructor failed to show up and that's good for me because I'm running out of cash, will have to go to my old bank for withdrawal soon. Anyway I have enough stuff to create a new page - the 4th page for the month and 34th page for the year. I also show some of my own works in this page.

I've summed up my modeling activities and expenses for the year 2017, as follows:

Model Maniac Annual Report 2017

1. 34 new pages created, showing a total of 315  kits

(You can check for the accuracy of this info on my Forum): http://www.network54.com/Forum/242728

2. 511 kits acquired (337 from Khun Thitiporn my friend, the remaining 174 from online orders (90%) and local hobby shops (10%))

3. 288 kits commissioned built by 4 modelers - Art Instructor, PJ, Joh and Artama.

4. Total annual expenses:

4.1 511 kits bought, costed 121,896.- Baht

4.2 288 kits built, costed 230,300.- Baht

4.3 Display cases costed 12,300.-

Total expenses 2017 = 364,496.- Baht, that's 78.63% increase from last year!

(Total expenses 2016 = 204,052.- Baht)

Total expenses for the last 21 years (1997 - 2017) = 5,329,931.- Baht

(Present exchange rate $1=32.- Baht)

I'm counting down for New Year 2018 with my dog James Bond, it's about 48 minutes to enter new year. In this occasion I wish you and your loved ones especially Ezra all the best and a Very Happy New Year 2018!

Your friend,

MM

A very nice choice the MiG is.  You’re a very kind hearted contractor to aid Art Instructor to get some extra money for New Years.  Kudos to you.

Many thanks for your kind comments, plasticjunkie. I think so too that the stars and bars were missing from the Thud and the reaon is understandable. I've built a lot of 1:72 warplanes this month and many of them are from Hasegawa same as the Thud. I've found that for kits older than 20 years old from Hasegawa, 90% of the time the decals would not work. I had to find replacement or substitute decals for many kits now.

A photo album of my own build, started 30 Nov 2017, updated almost daily, now shows 16 armors/control tower and 25 warplanes mostly 1:72 which I built in 26 days. Today I'll buid #42, Fw190 from Revell, a 33 years old kit which costed my friend who gave me hundreds of kits only 14 Baht ($ 0.70) then:

I do believe the Thud is also missing the stars and bars on the top left wing and probably on the lower right wing. Otherwise it looks good after the tanks get aligned.

Toshi

Ahhh, one of my favorite artists of yours.  Art Instructor.  As you know of my affinity of propelled aircraft, I enjoy the two jets displayed in your current collection.

The Hayate is beautifully done as well as the Mustang.  But, I must gracefully choose that the Mustang without a doubt is my favorite choice at this time.

As always, I enjoy all of the displayed aircraft each month and I always anticipate the next additions with great zeal.  Thank you Model Maniac for sharing your collections here on FSM Forums!

Your friend, Toshi

Thanks so much for your kind comments and continuous support, Toshi! I'm running out of 1:48 kits but still have plenty of 1:72 and I chose to build modern jets for a change. I myself have built quite a number of 1:72 warplanes this month.

It came at no surprise that you chose the Mustang. It's a beautiful and powerful warbird. But among the four I like the MiG-23S the most.

This year I've created 33 new pages, almost 3 a month. There may be 34th page before year's end. AI told me that he might deliver 3rd batch this month before month's end because he wants some money for New Year's expenses - gifts for his loved ones.

Pawel

Hello MM, congratulations on new models in your collection!

Maybe you could ask AI to correct the drop tanks and their pylons on the F-105. At the moment they are not parallel to the aircraft's axis, that looks pretty bad, but can be relatively easily corrected.

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Paweł

Thanks so much for your kind words, Pawel!

When he delivered it I didn't notice what you mentioned. When taking pictures I saw that they're not parallel but it was too late to correct. I'll see what I can do with it.

You're welcome and have a nice day too.

MM
