1/48 Hobby Boss TA-7H Corsair II - Greek Air Force
Posted by Grant Dalzell on Monday, December 25, 2017 9:19 PM

I have been wanting to have a go at a Greek aircraft for awhile, love their harsh environment weathering. I have probably under done this compared to some of the pictures I googled of Greek A-7's

Decals are Xtradecal...not that there is many on this one. Otherwise it is OOB. I used Gunze acrylics for the camo. Other paints used were Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics. Flory Dark Dirt wash and AK landing gear wash, and Mig satin varnish finished it off.

I had great fun with this one.

Very nice!  Superior weathering on white - I struggle there.  How did the kit go togehter?  I have a hacked up hasegawa and the verlinden TA conversion kit I never quite got together.

Thanks,

John

The Hobby Boss kit is fine, no issues, it is their TA-7C kit.

Very nice especially the paint job. Funny i have no problems with the white, my nemesis is with the black basing showing through the dark colors.

I have seen these aircraft up close when I stopped over at Crete Greece in 1984.Souda Bay airbase.I was flying F-4’s at the time. You got the paint job on target.Note:Some Of their aircraft had no refueling probe assemblies.
