How do you display your models?

Love that movie!

That's not my "hack stack", and...no.

I run a Peavy Ultra 120 through a pair of Ampeg 4x12s. It goes to 10, but that's only one quiter!

I did think ahead when I built the all the shelves. I used a trim piece on the face, creating a little step, so nothing could scoot off. I got tired of having to reposition things after every time I revved up the guitfiddle, I stuck a little bit of poster-tack to the wheels of the ones that would move...everything stays in place now!

If I ever build more models than I have space for; the solution will probably be to trash an old one to make room for a new one!

I have 2 of these cases, relatively cheap for enclosed display cases. Fits 3 or 4 1/48 prop fighters no problem.  2 1/48 modern jets. There are gaps, but good enough to keep dust to a minimum (never had to dust yet in 2 years).  Looks to me I can easily drill more holes to add more shelves too.

I got some casters from home depot and mounted then so I can roll these out of the way if needed. 

And do you blow your canopies off?  I have a 40w fender and the models start dancing when I crank it up.

I have a lot, so a few hang from the ceiling, some hang on the wall, but most are sitting on shelves.

Back there in the dark, is larger portion of the "war room". I moved all the band gear in, so that area is full of drums, amps, PA, and guitars. Most of the models I had in that section got compressed into smaller section, seen above. 

I did build a small set of "built in" shelves...recessed into the wall, where I keep most of my choppers still.

Great displays .You guys are doing well.

Right now I have open shelves and two display cases in the basement, but they are overgrown and on some shelves models are two layers deep!  That is the result of being in this hobby for as long as I have been.

I am looking to thin my collection by giving models away to people who will appreciate them, but find it is hard to do in many cases, especially larger models!  Selling via online, like via eBay, is problematic because of the shipping problem.  G-loads on packages is horrific.  I am not the only one who has horror stories of shipped models arriving in tiny pieces in spite of careful packing.

I put mine in glass case from IKea. Think it was only about $60

Most of my builds go to museums, squadrons, or are sold. The ones I do keep are on shelves in my basement area. I have a special place for all my Tomcats, though. The plan is double the number of shelves once I have more built.

I have open shelves holding almost 60 built 48th and 72nd kits. The dust is a huge problem. I'm moving this year so I'll build a cabinet around the shelves at my new house

Wonderful! How do you keep them clean? I've been trying to decide between open shelves (more dusting maintenance) and an enclosed curio-style cabinet (much more expensive).

I don't have any good photos of my displays, but will tell you that I build the big ones (48th scale WWII bombers, Cold War/Vietnam-era heavy bombers in 1/72) wheels up and hang them from the ceiling in my garage workshop. I have several smaller warbirds mounted on my bedroom wall (my wife doesn't complain about my choice of decor), and a glass case that is very nearly full of WWII/Cold War fighters. Finally, I have stashed a couple of WWII tanks on a shelf in the movie room, a 350-scale USS Lexington sitting atop a bookcase, several builds scattered on various shelves throughout the house, and atop yet another bookcase is my collection of sci-fi/comic figures - Iron Man with working lights, Captain America, Thor, Darth Vader, the Creature From the Black Lagoon, and the Alien.

I'm sure I've shown this before but I have 129 models displayed that I have built, and a few others by friends and grandkids, most all in these display cases.  There are also about 30 R/C airplanes around but they are elsewhere except for a couple on top of the big case.

I suppose I'm one of those ones that puts out WIP's constantly, lol.  I don't have hundreds, but 36, and I'm currently working on 37.  I still haven't figured out where I'm going to put it though.  They are in my living room.

This shelf is below the B-26 and B-25.  I can fit more underneath as well, I just need to put another shelf in it, it was originally a 55 Gal fish tank stand.
