Oh dear another one!!
FSM did several articles a few months ago on the B52 celebrating its 50th aniversary.
There was a very good section on upgrading the Monagram kit to make a model of the Memphis Belle IV.
There were also several line drawings in colour as well as photos of various marks of the B52.

well with B-52's go with overall Gunship Grey but with the monogram kit you would have to do major modifications so i wouldnt waste my time updating it and if you want good references check Squadrons B-52 in Action and Squadrons B-52 Walkaround

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

Is it the 1/72 one? I'm building the same one if you do, and once the canopy is on, you can't see anything. Paint the inside black, scratchbuild the bomb bay and box in the wheel wells. You could always shut the b-b's doors and be done with it!

well there is only the 1/72nd an 1/144 scale kits for Revel Monogram so i think maybe you should build up the bomb bay but if you use the right color inside the cocpit youll be able to see everything and i also have the 1/72nd scale B-52 as well

Current B52-H models are overall gunship grey. The antennas under the nose are white. The wheel wells and bombays are white (LOts of Duct tape inside those places). The outrigger doors , from wear, often have some of the previous yellow chromate showing through. the cockpit OD on the seat cushions, dark red for the seat headrest, flat black on the console & engine quadtrant (with some drybrushed silver for wear and tear) rest of equipment on sides of flight deck and rear is aluminum colored.
blanket on bunk is airforce blue, toilet seat is stainless but it isn't molded in so dont worrry about it.

The squadron books are great, as is the detail and scale, (if you can find one...I got mine on ebay). I have some buff pictrures in my personal collection that I can scan in and email you if you want. My son was a Buff pilot, and we visited him at Barksdale a ffew times. He's in the B-2 now. I also have some pictures there.

you can email me at bdpease@charter.net.

The Air Force website has a HUGE selection of current photos:
http://www.af.mil/photos/
Do a search for the planes you want. Put it B-52 and you get this selection:
http://www.af.mil/photos/index.asp?galleryID=15

The Monogram kit is a B-52D. To make a current B-52H you'd have to replace the tall tail with the shortened tail, and replace the engines with the H's different-shped nacelles. The tail gun has to go, replaced with a selection of radomes, the nose has to have the chin pods added, and there are about a billion new EW antennae all over the airplane. You may as well just build it as a Nam-era D.

If you want a current B-52D, AMtech is about to release on in 1/72, probably based on the discontinued AMT kit. Available from Squadron for preorder:

I heard that AMTech was supposed to release the current H models with all the bumps and whistles. I have one on preorder from Squadron. Smile [:)]

Now I hear that AMTech may not release it at all. Sad [:(]
