FW190 D-9 Hasegawa kit from 1986
Posted by kensar on Friday, February 2, 2018 5:28 PM

Just completed this old 1/32 kit that I started about 7 years ago.  It has a raised rivet and panel line wing and an engraved panel line fuse.  I added some abbreviated riveting with a 0.013 drill.  The kit came with some photo etched parts and cast white metal landing gear.  Decals are from Eaglecals 'Friends of Yellow 10'.  Prop blades are from Aires, pilot from Master Details.

The white crosses on the wings (decals) have some silvering over the rivets.  Has anyone tried to cut off the lifted decal film after the fact to fix silvering?

I photoshopped out the stand in most of the pictures.

And the gun camera footage

Some areas on the bottom have natural metal finish.

Looks awesome!  I love the way you photoshopped the stand.  The B&W photo is my favorite.

Great job on this old kit. Yes  The mottling looks spot on Mate.

Fixing the silvered decals by cutting off the offending carrierpart is the way to go for me.

The photo shopped pics look professional. Which one shop do you use ?

Thanks for all the comments. This is one that was on the self of doom for awhile.

Jay Jay - I used an ancient photo editing software for the photoshopping.  I don't remember what the name is, but I used a smudging tool to get rid of the stand.  Most photo editing software has one.
