Martin Maryland info needed
Posted by ChrisJH666 on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 6:04 AM

Hi folks!

Does anyone know of any good books on the Martin Maryland? I have a kit in my stash and I'd like to start assembling some detail information ready for once I get around to starting it, but it's hardly a high profile aircraft. Millions of books on Spitfires, Mustangs, etc, but the Maryland.......? Any help would be good. Thanks!!

In the queue: 1/48 Beech Staggerwing (RAAF), P38 (RAAF), Vultee Vengeance (RAAF), Spitfire Vb (Malta), Spitfire VIII x2 (RAAF), P39 x2 (RAAF), Martin Baltimore (Malta?), Martin Maryland (Malta), Typhoon NF1b, Hellcat x2 (FAA)

Alas, no direct suggestions...but it might be useful to search the threads on the Britmodeller forum, as they've had several striking Maryland and Baltimore builds over the years.

I did the old Frog Baltimore a year or so ago...but used mainly online sources for the little extra detailing I did.

Good luck on your project!

I had a look and could not find anything. Briut modeller might be worth a check.

Greg, i built a Maryland back in the 80's and could not remember the brand and then just read your post. I used to do a lot of Frog kits back then.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I used to do a lot of Frog kits back then.

I think most of us of a certain 'vintage' did.

I believe the old Tupolev SB-2 may be the only one I've got left in the 'stash.'
