One of the SBDs they pulled out of that lake was a Midway veteran with the Marines. Lots of history in that lake. I keep hoping that they will find a TBD down there and recover it.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

The SB2U in Pensacola was also pulled out of Lake Michigan.
Me too- I'll buy one! I have found drawings but the girder framework supporting the flight deck would take a lot of PE, and PE making for me is a load of work.
I am looking at using a Cricut machine to generate vinyl masks that would act as resist, but the resolution will not be as good as the photo method, so don't know if it will work for one of those carriers. Maybe I'd build it in a larger scale where I wouldn't need as much resolution with the PE.

ps1scw With all the SBD's and Wildcats among others being pulled out of Lake Michigan in recent years I think it is way overdue to have a proper 1/350 Scale or larger USS Sable and USS Wolverine on the market. I'd surely purchase one.

In the Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola NAS. The way the room is lit gives the impression of being under water. One of my bucket list items is to do a trap onto a carrier and depart.
OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
