The main differences between marks are the engine and wings. On the early marks the difference in engine wouldn't show, but the wings are a different matter. It would be far easier to get on the net and buy a Mk 1a rather than trying to convert a Vb, as there are plenty of kits of most marks of Spit out there
In the queue: 1/48 Beech Staggerwing (RAAF), P38 (RAAF), Vultee Vengeance (RAAF), Spitfire Vb (Malta), Spitfire VIII x2 (RAAF), P39 x2 (RAAF), Martin Baltimore (Malta?), Martin Maryland (Malta), Typhoon NF1b, Hellcat x2 (FAA)
