Old F3F kit question
Posted by goldhammer on Sunday, February 25, 2018 10:45 AM

Seeing the new kits aquired by another member, I remembered on I had several years ago.

You pulled the prop out and turned it to raise and lower the landing gear.  IIRC it had to be 1/32 or bigger.

It got away from me when the motorhome it was stored in dissapeared from where we kept it.

Anyone remember this one?

***EDIT***  Did a fast search using "F3F with working landing gear" and came up with the old 50's/60's - 1/32 Monogram kit, with a build log.

Couple on the bay at $35-50 plus shipping.  Molded in silver, red, yellow and clear.

Bought one of them, figured I hate myself later.......

I have a couple of those in my stash, one as a Navy bird and the other as a Gulfhawk. To go along with one I built roughly 20 years ago.

I just finished one of those, complete with working parts. It was a very fun, enjoyable build. I got a set of Yellow Wings decals since the kit decals weren't very good.

Nice build of a pre-war Yorkie bird.
