A-4 Skyhawk 1/72
Posted by falconmod on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 8:36 AM

Ok, I have a question,  what is the best 1/72 A-4 kit out there?  And I'm not even sure what is out there and available at the moment.

Thanks

John

I'll be interested to see what people suggest for this, i like the looks of the A-4. I notice on Hannants that Hobby Boss have 3 72nd kits due out, but no dates.

Checking scalemates, there have not been any new tooled Skyhawks for over 20 years other than the Airfix B/P, so its over due.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Hello!

IMO the best 1/72 Skyhawks come from Fujimi. The new Airfix is also very good, but those Fujimis are gems. They are built up modular, so you have early/late back sections, one/two seater fronts, more than one style of engine intakes and so on. It's the only 1/72 scooter I know of, where the front wheel is molded separately from the strut. The problem is the Fujimis are somewhat hard to get now.

Good hunting and have a nice day

Paweł

+2 for Fujimi Skyhawks. They ran a whole series of A-4s, including B, C, E, F, M, OA4M, and I think a TA-4F or J. Hasagawa has a nice TA 4 J
