Darren Roberts It's not the original Revell kit, which isn't very detailed. It's the original Monogram kit from 1985.

The only Revell swing wing kit I know I built was an F-111 that came with a long nose and short nose with short wingtips for a Navy version. That was an awesome kit back then.
Fantastic build of a infamous aircraft.

It's a beauty, really nice salute to a great warbird. One of the best looking airplanes of all time, like a few others it "just looks right." Nicely finished, thanks for the post and photos.

Is this the old kit from the 70s? I loved that kit and built it as a kid. I bought another in 1999 or 2000 when Toys R Us stopped carrying models. It was a bunch of kits I bought they had been selling for $2.90-4.90. Always like the gray and white scheme.
I agree with you, the red adds a nice splash of color to this crisp, clean Tomcat. Nicely done!
This is my standard Monogram build with Furball decals. I always liked the red stripes on the wings and stabs.
