HpH models

Ye, i saw that, the join between the fuselage halfs did not look pretty. I have a few 1/72nd resin aircraft kits, but so far those HPH engines are the largest resin kits i have built. Other than those, its been busts, AM parts and figures. So those big resin aircraft kits would i think be a challenge, but the effort would be well re-warded i think.

Bish, thanks for the Large Scale Modeler link. He certainly was having to do a lot of fit and finish to get parts to mate up. My experience with resin kits has been on aftermarket detail pieces for WW2 aircraft carriers as well as the beautifully detailed Boeing PT-13 1/32nd scale Stearman by Silverwings in Poland. That kit was a joy to assemble. Very minimal cleanup required.I do not mind the long hours of detailed assembly, just not sure I want to spend an equal amount of time cleaning up individual parts. I do think that it would make a great large scale model.

A 1/32 'Cat is a big kitty....about 3'3" span and 2' long......Would be a beauty though.

I have never even seen any of their aircraft kits bult, i guess the price is a tad off putting. I have been tempted to get the Me 410 myself though.

I did find a build lof of the Cat on LSP from a few years back, but it seemed to stop well short of him finishing it.

Thanks for the replies fellas.I agree they are prohibitively expensive.I ran across one of their engine kits on amazon and had never heard of HpH before.A 1/32 scale Catalina sure would be pretty if done right.Mainly wondered if anyone had built one of their aircaft kits.

I've built a couple of their engines kits and they were very nice. And their customer service is first rate.

I also have the 1/32nd launcher for the Ar 196, really looking forward to bulding that.
