While building my Memphis C-17, I whipped this C-130 together so I could use my Model Master color up. When I put her on the shelf, I noticed that I had a Phantom from Fort Smith and the B-52G from Blytheville to go with this Little Rock bird. Got a collection and I wasn't even trying Stick out tongue. Anyway, here's some pics:

Grew up in Jacksonville, right outside Little Rock AFB.  Climbed all over the F-4s at the airshows at the base and one that was on permanent static display at Camp Robinson National Guard base, but sadly have built any of the above except the Airfix C-130 back in the summer of 1982.  Got all of them in the stash, but have not started any!

Great looking builds!

Thanks, y'all! I remember seeing those big B-52s when we went to the NEAMO shows out at Blytheville. Miss those days...

You can also add a C-119 to your collection of aircraft from Little Rock.  It was on display at the split in the main drag as you come in to the base.

It showed up one day as pat of an entire squadron on their way to the bone yard.  After staying a couple days the whole squadron headed out.  Unfortunately this particular aircraft blew its left engine before it got to takeoff speed and returned to teh transit ramp, its left pylon covered with oil.  The airraft commander went into base ops and offered the aircraft to teh base so they could have a display bird.  It wasn't going anywhere with an engine out and not replacement would be sent.  It was quickly adopted and moved to an area where it could be cleaned up and made ready for display, more of less.

I was in it several times, a couple times just looking around and the others pulling teenagers and yound airmen and their dates out, wrecking their private parties.

Great job, Mississippi! Too bad you couldn't get them all in the same scale.

Thanks again, y'all! Yeah, DD, it came together kind of oddly, so the scale is off for one of them. I had the 130 in the stash from a couple of Christmas' ago, and only built it to use up the paint from another AMC project before it went bad.
