Studied the instructions and checked the plane over. The intakes were installed correctly but they just didn't sit right. I had just tacked the intakes in place so it was easy to get them out. Retried fitting the top halves of the wings with the intakes out and they fit almost perfectly. Just a slight touch of putty will be necessary. With the insides of the wings painted black in that area, don't think anyone will notice the difference unless they look in the opening with a flashlight. Oopps, guess I shouldn't take it to any shows.Wink It'll still look great in the curio cabiet.

Thanks for the info.

I can't help with the canopy, though there's some accuracy issues with the windscreen bracing being too thick. As far as the intake issue, I left the interior parts out of it, and the wing to fuselage fit improved greatly.

Pulled this plane off the shelf of doom last Wednesday as I needed something to kill time while waiting for the paint to cure on the two armor kits in progress. Had lots of gaps and seams filled so started sanding them down. When I got to the area around the cockpit, wanted to check the fit of the canopy because I had used a lot of putty at the front area where one side didn't meet the other and it needed some filler. Well, I think I discovered why it was on the shelf of doom in the first place. There was no clear sprue with the canopy and windshield. Called Revell and was told that the kit was discontinued in 2003 and there were no spare parts available. Called all of the places that I could think of to get a new one and came up empty handed.

Does anyone know where I could find one, or does anyone have one laying around that they're not planning to use?

The kit seems to need a bit of work around the intakes but otherwise looks like a decent kit that I'd like to get finished and off the shelf of doom.

TIA.
