It's coming together. The AIM-9 have broken fins so I'm replacing them and the launcher rails with stuff out of my spares supply. Thinking of kitbashing it from a YF-17 to a fictional F-17A.

Anigrand is the equivalent of Combrig in ships.
The kits are expensive but are a good value because the detail is superior.
Their customer service is good too.
The last one I built was the Republic Rainbow.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
I haven't built any Anigrand models yet but I do have the XF-103 and XF-108. My preference of all resin modelmakers is Planet, by far.

It felt soft, I bend it and crack! Two pieces now. I'm sanding the pieces. I have lots of acrylic putty on hand. It will be built.

That's the usual method. Very hot tap water is what I have used. Not all resins respond the same. It tends to have a memory, so sometimes it takes a few tries because it warps again as it cools. I've never tried water hot to the point of boiling. I'm afraid that might cause shrinkage. I've had resin parts shrink once because I left them in the hot sun by mistake.
I'm building the Anigrand YF-17. My first resin airplane. I've built resin ships, and resin automobile but not an airplane. I need to fix the lower half of the kit because it is a little bent out of shape. For ships if the hull isn't flat I just leave a book on top of the part for a week and it flattens out. I went to lay the book on top the part and it made a cracking noise. There is a method for bending resin with hot water but I 've never done it. Has anyone here done that?
