Early War Soviet Paint Suggestions
Posted by TheWaggishAmerican on Friday, July 27, 2018 4:15 PM

Hey everyone,

I've almost finished some projects (finally) and I've started looking at my next one. I have a 1/48 weekend edition Eduard Ratta, and despite all of my internet scavenging, I haven't found even an APPROXIMATE conversion from whatever paint Eduard uses to Tamiya. A mix is fine, straight from the bottle is even better. I have no intention of ever building another Soviet kit, so I don't need it to be a perfect match to anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? Just for that early war light blue underside and also early war upper surface green.

Image result for eduard i-16 box

(it's this kit by the way)

You want the most accurate Russian early WW2 colors? Look no further than here:

You‘re not going to find anything very close to this paint line. The owner is Russian and knows his stuff when it come to true colors of Russian aircrafts and armor. I have a couple colors and they’re spot on.

Oh yeah, his business is in the states.
