Just 3 days, very old kit, sprayed the decals with gloss clear to keep them together, couldn't paint the bars over the cockpit windows due to shaky hands!
Remember , common sense is not common.
I love your Helldiver. I've never seen the kit before.
Did you paint the wing?
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Hi,
Your build looks great. I love the old 30's era biplanes.
Thanks guys. No I didn't paint the wings! The wings and some small parts come in yellow plastic so I wash and polish the wings. The rest of the kit comes in grey plastic so I brush paint the other parts and surfaces.
Very nice build Pat! Keep up the good work.

Also once built a Stranraer that came in I forget what but maybe green, tan and black.
Thanks guys for your comments and support. As a retiree we have to try and produce a reasonable build at low cost, so using the plastic polishing saves on paint and time of drying, especially today when it's pouring with rain as it has since late last night and the forecast is that it may last throughout today and tomorrow!
Also although I work in a type of log cabin in the garden the cost of switching on the radiator for heating/ drying can sometimes be prohibitive.
Shakey hands or not, this one came out very nice ! Very cool subject as well.
i can relate to the "retirees low-cost" builds as i am there myself.
I'm finally retired. Now time I got, money I don't.
Cheers Jay Jay.
