Which gunsight for a Pearl Harbour P-36?
Posted by Cdn Colin on Monday, August 20, 2018 7:41 AM

I'm building HobbyCraft's P-36 as Black 86 from Pearl Harbour.  The kit comes with 3 different sights, and I'm wondering which would be most likely.

Here's what the kit comes with:

I can't find any photos that show any sight in a P-36.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

Here you go for everything about aircraft gunsights.  What you want is the N-2 or N-2A for USAAC/AAF early fighters.

No problem.  I like to share new info that I find.  Hopefully somebody can find it useful.

And in the USN section, there is a nice shot of Ike Kepford's first or second Corsair, #29.

Thanks, Rich, that's exactly what I needed.  It looks like the instructions were leading me astray.  They indicated the one on the left.  The N-2 is on the right.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.
