That's true, with late war aircraft any color combinations could be possible due to scavenging replacement parts even at the factory level.

I dont doubt your source, but I do know that rudders were cannibalized and assembled onto planes as they were building them. Maybe that is why there is a difference.

I think I just found my next build!

On Ed's bench, ???

I'm coming up with nothing. looking at Eduard's color markings I would say they are right again they are pretty reliable source.

Cheers mate,

White 9 im interested in is the one on the box art, it has the distinct red and black chequered defence of the Reich band. A lot like that this one. But even this profile has 75,76,83 profile which further confuses things. Does anyone know definitively the rlm patterns on mtt g10s?

Your a legend mate, thanks for looking into that for me, yeah I was aware that he just fuelled and stole any old plane to flee in, and that’s what he landed in Sweden in. I did read that somewhere.

I’m thinking I’ll do white 9 of kg(j)6 instead anyway. Yellow 5 has been done to death, but even then it being from the same factory, and of the same model, the rlm scheme should be the same. I haven’t been able to find an actual image of white 9, so i guess I’ll just wing it (no pun).

you don’t happen to have an image of white 9 anyone do you?

thanks again for your time.

I've tried to do some research online and have flipped through a few of my books to try and find a answer for you. I can say that this man had lived a hard life as slave labor for the ussr after the war. Also Yellow 5 wasn't his aircraft he just took it off of fighter row to escape to Sweden. My advice would be to use the color call out that eduard gives they are usually pretty reliable.

Hello everyone,

This would be my first post on here, so please bear with me.

The other day I picked up Eduard's new 109 g10 Regensburg profipack. All of the presented schemes bar one are the standard RLM 74,75,76 schemes that were applied to nearly all 109's since the F model. In particular the scheme belonging to Horst Petzchler, I've seen various renditions/profiles of this aircraft (as well as other g10 machines) with the 81,75 and sometimes the greenish late war 76 colours.

refer to source below for black and white images...

http://www.forcedlandingcollection.se/LWe/LW136-Bf109.html

Does anyone have any knowlege of documentation regarding Regensburg g10 colour schemes? were they done in 74/75 or 81/75 or 81/83? I've read somewhere that MTT tails were outsourced and used different manufacturer's machines, which is why some 109's had the blatantly different coloured tail surfaces.

Any infomation on the subject would greatly be appreciated as it's doing my head in.

Thanks
