A Couple of Ideas.....
Whilst working on my Boomerang I had a couple of ideas to make life a little easier. Many modellers here may well have come up with something similar, but just in case there are one or two guys who might think them useful, here goes.
I wanted to work on the underside of the plane, but didn't want to break off the mirror doing so, so I folded up the cardboard support in the photo. Cutting the recesses in the top edges means the wings cannot slide off accidentally when working.
I have seen a number of models on here where modellers have masked off radial engines using bits of tape, Which clearly works for them, but I felt was a bit fiddly with uncertain results for me. Instead I cut a circle of paper, and then made a cut from the edge to the centre, which allowed me to turn it into a cone. I inserted it into the cowling, and once it had expanded just popped a bit of tape on the join.
Like I say, hope someone finds this of some use.
