1/48 Hobby Boss Yak-38U Forger B - With a twist

A tongue in cheek look at a what if the US Navy had Yak-38's. I will be following this one up at a later stage with an A-4 in the Yak scheme......yes the  blue over green scheme

Painted with Gunze, Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics, Vallejo metal colour and AK Xtreme metal, Flory dark dirt wash, Ink wash and AK satin varnish.

Drop tanks are from an A-4, and I wanted to add Aim-9's but they wouldn't fit unfortunately

Ugh, it makes my brain hurt. It looks like so many other aircraft that I have seen, but it just doesn't fit!!! All that being said, I do like it though. What-if builds are a lot of fun to look at.

Lol, same here. If you hadn't stated what she was I'd have stared at her trying to figure out what USN aircraft she was till my eyeballs bled...

Really nice paint work, looks just right!

Notwithstanding the fact that the concept is insanely brilliant, and the workmanship first-rate...

...that has to be the butt-ugliest aircraft I've ever laid eyes on! It's long and mishapen...like a bit of coyote dung drying on the prarieWhistling

Still, a truly inspired project (and great fun)! Genuine thanks for sharing it with us. (It's actually beginning to grow on me....)

This thing has character. I can’t place it but it reminds me of something, just not sure what. Keeps me staring at it for sure. Well done

In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!

That's a fantastic what-if build.....but I cannot help but think that this would be the result if a Fouga Magister, an A-4 Skyhawk and an F-11 Tiger all got together somehow and had a love child!
