Eduard 1/48 scale Nieuport 11 (finished)
Posted by Foz on Saturday, September 22, 2018 3:04 AM

Good afternoon guys!

I have had a few months off modelling and my Scratch built B17G as I have been away from my work bench but finally have found the time to build something ...this time OOB!

May I present to you my effort of the Nieuport 11...in the markings of  Cpl Victor Chapman ,N.124, Lafayette Americane, 1916. This is the Eduard 1:48 scale kit and and a pleasant build it was too!!

The lower starboard wing was taken off another camouflaged Nieuport as a replacement ,due to damage!....if your wondering!!

Thanks for taking a look guys

Cheers

Fozzy

Nice looking build!  I have yet to dive into bipes (if you exclude my 9 year old blunders ;) )

Thanks,

John

Very cool build. I like that "odd" lower wing. The pilot certainly had a long reach to that Lewis gun on the top wing, didn't he.

I'm venturing into bipe's myself. On the bench right now I have an Lindberg Curtiss Goshawk I picked up at Modelpalooza last week. I'm finding out that an old kit like this takes planning.

If I'm successful with this kit, I'll try another later.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

You can’t go wrong with these Eduard WWI kits. They have excellent fit and details oob.

Looks great. Nice touch with the replacement wing.

If you like WWI planes then look into Wingnut Wings. They are awesome!

WOW!!! Even in 1/48th scale, biplanes are small kits (unless it's an An-2, I guess). Great job, Fozzy!! By the way, your last name ain't "Bear", is it??
