I don’t know what the collectibility and values of kits are. Frankly I could care less. I bought one of those same Zero kits to build it. One day I shall. Models are hardly an investment to seed your retirement nest egg.

A good site to be on for models is Scalemates. They have a very comprehensive database for most any every kit out there with history of release dates, re issues, changes, etc.

Stikpusher and GMorrison, thanks for the inputs. I'm debating if this is one worth building or saving for the value. I'm not familiar with Tomy or the other maker.

Just doing some quick internet searches based on your above info, it appears the Zeke is a 1980s vintage kit. At the same time the Oscar in the picture above is a 1973 kit! Thing is nearly as old as I am!

That Zeke is a Tomy re-boxing. Under the name Swallow.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

That Zero kit was originally released by either Tomy or Doyusha. The Revell Oscar is a Revell Japan original, not related to the Hasegawa kit.

Does anyone on the forum recognize where this 1/32  A6M2 Zeke kit originated from? Might this be a one-off or special edition kit form one of the larger makers?

Thanks in advance. Mike
