Nice job.  I picked up a bargin priced Trumpeter 32nd F4U kit specifically to build that plane as a compliment to the 32nd Tuskeegee Mustang in the pile.

And there is a book on him called Devotion. I have this book.

I have the book too. I bought it when I got the kit back in the spring.

Nice clean build of my favorite prop fighter.

Thanks, Pawel. The kit is a Hasegawa 1/48 scale F4U-4 Corsair I got from Rouute62 a while back. I decided to build the kit after finding the decals at Cutting Edge. Ens. Jesse Brown was the US Navy's first black aviator.

Hello fotofrank!

Would be good to know what make and scale your baby is! A few words about why Ensign Brown is so special could help, too.

Other than that it's looking very nice and clean, congratulations! Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Ens. Jesse Brown's Corsair...

Well, I've finally "finished" Ensign Jesse Brown's F4U-4. It's been a tough go. Paint issues, broken/lost parts, and what-not, but I'm about ready to cross the finish line. Below are pictures of the airplane as it is right now. The paint is 10 parts MM Insignia Blue and 3 parts MM Flat Black enamels to get something similar to the dark blue of Korean War US Navy aircraft. The landing gear is white metal from Scale Aircraft Conversions. The decals are Cutting Edge Decals depicting Ens. Brown's airplane. The paint and decals are sealed with a coat of Pledge. The plane is shown prior to departure for a support mission. That's why the guns are taped over. The pilot figure is from Revell's F-84 Thunderstreak. The decal sheet also has marking for Tom Hudner's Corsair. Comments are welcome. Thanks...
