Aires Mig-21 MF Detail Set 1/48 for Academy

Does this detail set require surgery, i.e. cutting openings in the stock model with a saw? If yes, I won't buy it.

I can't say definitely yea or no. But Aires sets usually do require some modification of the kit. Might be something as simple as sanding inside of fuselage to cutting the front coating on the cockpit

I can't say for certain either but looking at the area in front of the canopy, i would say yes. That does not seem part of the kit.

Aires does just the cockpit on its own, which will be the same as the one in that kit but without the areas out side the pit. Set number 4049.
